Hernando County deputies have arrested a suspect in connection with recent RV break-ins in Brooksville.
Mark Wendell Davis, 51, is being held on charges of vehicle burglary, property damage and criminal mischief for the RV robberies, according to Hernando County jail records.
Detectives set up surveillance at RV Register Sales in Brooksville after complaints of RV break-ins began in January, said a Hernando County news release.

Deputies apprehended Davis Saturday after they saw a man dressed in dark clothing, walking back and forth in between the RVs and holding a bag, the news release said. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, dark gloves and a gray cloth covering his face, and he was holding a flashlight and a screwdriver, authorities said.
During a post-Miranda interview, Davis admitted to opening RV storage bins and removing water bottles and pesticide, the release said. He told deputies he was homeless and was looking for items like food, water and toilet paper to survive, officials said.
He also told officials that he did not break the windows in the RV, instead saying that when he touched them, they fell apart from being in the sun all day, the release said.
Davis is being held on $15,000 bond. It is unknown if he has an attorney.
